Great review of jPodder here , about support for XMMS and other linux media players, that's why we have a player plugin feature! Would be nice if someone could make the plugin :)

We will go straight to jPodder 1.0, without releasing 0.9.1. The scope for 1.0 is somewhat narrowed down:

New features:

- Language selection and build in editor, translations will be easy to produce.

- Web one-click subscription, register jPodder for rss MIME types to be the default application in your webbrowser.

- Hiding of the file & enclosure view, for new users the file & enclosure view can be a bit confusing. By default it will be hidden.

Other improvements:

- We have performance improvements, like a thread pool for multiple downloads.

- Solving of minor bugs and less intuitive functions in the UI.

- Podcast production will be easier to use.

I hope we can release a couple of weeks from now! Cheers / jPodder team
