After the release of jPodder 0.9 we received very valuable feedback. Thanks everyone who has tried jPodder 0.9 and told us what they liked and what should be improved. We have been working hard to resolve issues with the beta and the final 0.9 version will be out soon.

In parallel we have started jPodder 1.0 developement, first we will re-structure the code to have more flexibility with the User Interface. What this means is that we will be able to give different views of e.g. feeds to suite individual requirements. We are investegating the use of custom skins, so perhaps this will be included. Also we include the Java Media Framework which means we will have the ability to play, stream and record audio, this is going to be very exciting.

We are in need of various contributors ranging from graphical artists (Who want to work on the skins) to text writers for documentation. Feel free to let us know through the forum or mail us in the developers mailing list.
